Rich Metrosideros-Weinmannia montane wet forest with a diverse pteridophyte understory of Blechnum, Hypolepis, Asplenium, and Grammitidaceae. Other associates include Cyrtandra, Geniostoma, Psychotria, Melicope, Ixora, and Coprosma. The ridges are windswept shrubland with Pennisetum henryanum, Elaphoglossum, Bidens, Styphelia, Wikstroemia, Cyathea, Freycinetia, and Dicranopteris. |
