Rich Metrosideros-Weinmannia montane wet forest with a diverse pteridophyte understory of Blechnum, Asplenium, Hypolepis, Grammitidaceae, and Hymenophyllaceae. Other associates include Coprosma, Psychotria, Melicope, Ixora, Cyrtandra, and Geniostoma. Ridges are windswept shrublands with Dicranopteris, Freycinetia, Bidens, Wikstroemia, Elaphoglossum, and Pennisetum. |
